Greetings,

It's hard to believe that his music is not played more. I have only
come to it in the time since I stopped being a church musician --
otherwise, I would have played it then.

But still, many years ago, when I was a student, I found the concerti
and took one to my teacher. "Why do you want to play THAT?" I
didn't take it back.

I'm still in the process of reading through as much music as I can
find in order to chose a piece that fits me best.

I'll probably play in on my 1847 Broadwood piano, which is not
perfect, but a little closer than a modern piano.

Does anyone know of any up-comming concerts featuring music by Hummel, preferably in California, U.S.A.? I'm frustrated that I cannot hear his music performed...
