I'm afraid I'm ignorant of the Hummel-Beriot connection, but I find it
unlikely that Beriot heard Hummel play all of those works that appear
in his edition. If Hummel's "Anweisung" is to be taken at face value,
there is simply no way that he used as much pedal as Beriot indicates,
and I do wonder why Beriot, a violinist, was editing piano music.

Oh well...!
