The Orpheus & Bacchus Music Festival has an 8 day chamber music Hummel/Beethoven event from Sunday May 3 to Sunday May 10, 2009 inclusive. Artists will include the Chilingirian Quartet (Op.30 No.2) the Op.85 & 89 Piano Concerti in chamber versions (Benjamin Frith and Andrew Brownell) and a variety of solo piano works (adding Madoka Inui of Naxos Fantasies fame) and chamber works including Piano Trios and the Septet. The Festival is easily accessible with TGV high speed trains to Libourne (30 mins away) and airports at Bordeaux and Bergerac within 40 mins to 1 hour.
