Being a church organist, I have a great love for Bach. It was the first music I
learned on the organ, after a good background in piano. Bach's life is
fascinating, with 21 children (not all lived to adulthood) and sons that tried
to compete with him in composition. If you want to continue to write let me
know and I will review some of what I learned about Bach, and what I don't know.
I have the Spitta and Sweitzer volumns of his life, as well as several other
books on his life and compositions.
