Just wanted to share with the group that my faithful companion of 12 years, SaJa Louise, crossed over the rainbow bridge this morning.  She has had a lot of heart problems recently...and you can only adjust medications so much before it's time to re-evaluate things.  SaJa pretty much told/showed me it was time.  She refused to take her meds this morning and would not eat or drink, even when I 'made' her take the meds, it wasn't long before they were back...So we layed together on the bed with her on my chest and decided it was time to let our wonderful vet make it all better.  It didn't take long and she was in my arms.....I like to think she gave a big sigh of relieve and was at peace.  She also knew I was packing for Aspen last night and may have known that she couldn't hold on until I got back and needed me to be with her in the end.

 

Some of you know that 3 months ago I acquired another schnauzer puppy....Sadie Marie...she is balck and silver (SaJa was salt & pepper)...I just hope that SaJa shared good stories about her life with e and Sadie listened and learned....we'll see, she's pretty bull headed right now.
