Since my first JoMoX box was a beige (cream) Mbase01, I'm a bit biased.
As far as I know, and according to Juergen, they are identical in circuitry and
functionality, but the cream-colored ones were made in
Germany while the black ones were ASSEMBLED in the far east.
He says the black ones sound better, but I've never done a side by side
comparison.
I like the cream color b/c EVERYTHING in electronic music over the past 2
decades (with a few exceptions) has been black, plus it matches my beige music
computer, a 9600 PowerMac.
As for Chinese pigskin, I've never taken it apart. Maybe that would be a good
YouTube video, but Juergen would whip me if he had to fix it. Maybe there's beer
brat and sauerkraut inside?
