Everybody are waiting for 1.12 or 2.0 :-) !!!!!

It was my understanding that interaction between the VCOs and RCOs in the
Sunsyn (RCOs follow the VCO characteristics like modulation, sync, tuning
and frequency alterations) is a feature that would be implemented in a
future OS update.

But everything I've read, including the Sunsyn description on Jomox's
website, gives the impression that this feature already exists.
If it does already exist, can it be turned on and off and if so how?

Thanks,
DJ

This feature is implemented on the SUNSYN !!

RCO's follow VCO's Characteristics

For each VCO's you can adjust the TUNE and OCTAVE

If you want to disconnect RCO's From the main Routing
, you have just to turn their LEVEL off

I'd forgotten where I heard or read this but I just checked the manual (page
27), which states:

4. (Soft-Controller) <VC1Sy> (VCO 1 Sync)
You can use this parameter to sync the RCO's to the VCO's (not yet
implemented-sorry).

€ <off>
When VC1Sy is set to "off", the waves are played in a static way, just like
any sample player. Triggering a note will make the SUNSYN read the wave from
memory. Pitch bend can be used to modulate the pitch in real-time.

€ <on>
The RCO is synced with the VCO. The RCO becomes some sort of sub-oscillator
with complex waveforms. Interaction between the VCO and the RCO occurs in
just the same way as already explained for the sync feature for the analog
VCO's. The playback start of the synced RCO is controlled by the VCO-wave.
Because of the fact that these analog created waves always differ slightly
and continuously, a wave, played by a synced RCO, gets also slightly
"randomized" and looses its originally static character.

_______________

According to the manual this feature has not been implemented. I'm not able
to access this parameter (VCO 1 Sync) on my Sunsyn, so as far as I can tell
the manual is correct. Having the ability to sync the RCOs to the VCOs is
one of the reasons I bought a Sunsyn. I knew that multimode didn't work yet,
but not VCO sync. I've read most of the messages on this forum and don't
recall this issue having been addressed before. I'd be grateful for any
comments/information.

Thanks,
DJ

after checking this list, it seems multimode is functioning. is
that correct? do the RCO'S follow the VCO'S? are there any
improvements yet to come? does anyone have any major problems with
the current OS? is there an ETA for the new OS? sorry for all the

Hey hello

About the RCO's , Jurgen would explain you better than me how
they work.
I think RCO's follow VCO's . Is that Right Jurgen?
The Multimode doesn't work very well yet. The Sunsyn would be
able to play an Accord of a Patch and an accord of a second
Patch in the same Time, in Theorie: Jurgen called this DYNAMIC
VOICE ALLOCATION.
But in reallity this dynamic voice allocation doesn't work very well:
the sound of a patch always interfer with another patch's sound.
The Sync for LFO's has to be more implemented (it works but it
is very difficult to program it)

This is all what many users reported to JOMOX.
And we are waiting for a new OS (with fixed VOICES for
multimode and Single mode)
This would be great to have a SINGLE UNISON mode with one
VOICE ( like MONO synth????)

If you want more info mail me

I'm French and sorry for my English :-)

Hear hear!

Fixed voices assignement was the natural and simple way to cure most
multitimbral problems.

Cheating yes! But dynamic assignement is exactly the kind of edge-of-doom
thing that no one should start up to code without making his testament
before.

Got the xbase09 second hand recently !

The thing sure rocks, only problem is
i cant seem to make the it respond to
song position.

This is the first time i am trying to use a
rythmbox in my studio setup (cubase etc)
so maybe i just dont get it, but should'nt
I, when slaving the xbase to cubase, be able
to say set up a loop somewhere in cubase and
have the xbase sync/start to the "song position"
protocol in midi clock (automatically) transmitted
by cubase ?

As it is now it just continues from where it left off,
even between steps, only rewinding cubase to 0
does the trick.

Could a newer os/chip do the trick, im having a hard time
getting info on prices and availability etc. on these chips
could someone help me out ?
ps : I live in Copenhagen Denmark.

Yes, it's true. The audition function works only on the previous triggered
type of Hi Hat. You'll have to trigger it by a midi keyboard...which is
better anyway.

Greetings

at my SunSyn the release stage of the envelopes VCA is a little bit strange, because if the release exceeds the point (potentiometer) of 11 o'clock they rings already after certain time, however, it is still after several minutes or said better lasting a part of the Sounds listen too.
First again if the release is back before 11 o'clock the sound concluded off, but when I open it again more further the Sound comes back without a new note is to be played, again
( 8 single outputs or Stereo outs tested, OS 1.11)

perhaps it is to solve it with a calibration, only this is written in english, and with my olschoolenglisch i not really understand this.
i search for a german calibration page.

Thanks and greetings

Hello

I don't understand very well what happens on your
RELEASE ENV2 (VCA).

But try a simple Calibration with AUTO TUNE FUNCTION
( button VCO SYNCH + RESTART) and hear if there is
any changes.( don't forget to warm up your SYN ANALO
before Calibration :-) )

Hi, I like my snare laidback, a few ticks delayed.

Unfortunately it seems that in shuffle mode all instruments in one
step are moved to delayed or anticipated position.

How can I just shift the snare or hihat?
