I think I'm the only one that owns the software here...

I uploaded the manual recently. Oh, and I forgot, there are manual
updates in the read.me of Overtone's ZIP file.

Sorry, that plain old DOS program let you only use MPU-401, MusicQuest,
Voyetra or a Serial Port. I think I saw a DIY serial port interface that
could work.

If you have a joystick port in your motherboard, you might have an
integrated MPU-401 with it. All you need is a joystick-MIDI port adapter.

As for communication problems, often, my K5 was disconnecting with my
350MHz PC, but when I reset the K5, it started working fine. I don't
know if faster PCs could make some problems. Anyways, there is certainly
a DOS emulator for Windows/Linux/Mac that can emulate an MPU-401 and
redirect it to a USB interface. I should try someday.

Note that Overtone NEEDS DOS. It doesn't work in Win98, 95 or whatever.

I might experiment with it some times.
