I consider Hamelin as the best interpreter of Kapustin to date after
the composer himself.
Surely, like an avid Kapustin geek, I've been looking forward to
listen to some unrecorded works.
Whatever you may say, the second sonata is, say, "worn into holes".
Three recordings for the moment... It's become a reading-book for
Kapustin players, I think.
If I was walking in Hamelin's shoes...

Nevertheless, the CD contains some intriguing and rare music,
flawlessly performed.
It's definitely a disc that repays listening.
