I'm Andrea...I started listening to Kasey in Dec. of 2000? I'd been hearing
about her & I kept meaning to buy her album, but I hadn't gotten around to
it since I really didn't know anything about her...and then I caught her on
Austin City Limits and as soon as the show ended, i was at the store buying
her album...I've started turning my friends on to her now as well. One of
my friends came over and I was listening to "Barricades..." and he literally
stopped in his tracks, "Who is this?" He came back after Christmas and told
me he bought "The Captain" and then we were at a meeting Monday night and he
leans over, "I bought the new Kasey Chambers." Then he told me that he'd
turn his friends onto her as well.

I've never gotten to see Kasey live - I live just outside of Kansas City and
she's never really made it too close to here. I think the closest she's
been is Chicago.

No, I haven't read that book...you'll have to let us know how it is.

I hope you know where you can get the book. BTW, did you get the job?

You are correct, Chicago is the closest she has come to KC. She has been
there three times. I went up there last April and saw her at Schuba's.
