Hello,I'm Hugues from France and new to this list.I discovered Kasey Chambers with a personal compilation an american correspondent sent to me. There were "Cry Like A Baby" and "Heartbreak Heartmen" with Paul Kelly on it. I liked it a lot. Another friend from Canada sent me "The Captain" (the album) and it impressed me. Great sound, great voice, strong, attaching personality, good songs...It's been hard to get the second album last year ("Barricades & Brickwalls") because it's not available in Europe, but I finally got it. And loved it too.But what made me definitely crazy about Kasey is some EPs stuff, "Not Pretty Enough" and "On The Road With Kasey Chambers" another american friend sent to me: hearing her sing "If I Could" and "Cow Cow Boogie" is absolutely irresistible!I'm sure Kasey is one of the artists the most amazing to see live! With her covers of Tim Carroll, James McMurtry or Jay Farrar, she shows her excellent taste and her fantastic talent.Kasey is a gift to the popular music world. I gladly join her fans group, here on this list and everywhere else.I am also a fan of: Ron Sexsmith, Lucinda Williams, Wilco, Iris DeMent, Neko Case, Dar Williams, and many others actually...I'm usually crazy about music.I enjoyed a lot of records this year, and especially Patty Griffin's "1000 Kisses" lately - and also Laura Cantrell's "When The Roses Bloom Again".Cheers,Hugues
