and anyone else, how I "...need to be..."
<br><br>Your point regarding what Madonna has done for
"...today's society..." is highly questionable. <br><br>Time,
and the appropriate sociologists, anthropologists,
and historians will decide if Madonna has "...done
her share for women in today's society."
<br><br>Quite frankly, Madonna has done nothing for my
grandmother, my mother or my sister in "today's society," so
consider what you mean by that phrase.<br><br>I suspect
that Madonna's publicity machine and her devotees have
had a great deal to do with promulgating the notion
that Madonna has done a great deal for "today's
society," but I suspect that, in the great scheme of
things, Madonna has done quite little. <br><br>Women's
intelligence, strength, musicianship, business acumen, etc.,
are not commodities presented by Madonna to the world
like so much fire from Hephaestus. <br><br>Countless
women have done, and continue to do, just as much as
Madonna if not more for the cause of women; however, they
go about their work quietly, patiently, in the due
course of their lives and without fanfare everytime they
sneeze twice.<br><br>Please don't "Whoa..." me, again.
