That's kind of a throwback for us oldtimers to the early days of the list (mid
to late 90's!). There were a lot more message traffic in those days (Hey Andy
Luddy! Where are this month's stats?!) and it just seemed easier to type the
acronyms for the songs instead of spelling out the whole title. I think there
used to be an acronym cross reference on the March of the Clouds website.

BTW, hey, Steph - I just tried the MotC link on pkfans.com, and all I see is the
backgroud image... :^{ The page source shows the <body ...> statement as the
last one on the page.

I suspect that it's not for economy of bandwidth or storage, but economy of typing. Personally I don't do it unless I've already written the full name at least...
