Keaggy's strat sound was really thin in the intro but after the first verse
seemed to fatten up. I also noticed that that he was doing some
slap-harmonic chords towards the end of the verse to stay "in the
background" and in the "you might like to drink..." verse. Nice since I
counted a total of five guitars on stage: Phil, Paul, the semi-hollow body
player (who takes part of the second lead break), and the player of the
black strat (other part of the second lead), and the player of the tele in
the background. Keep your own space.
You're absolutely right Richard. When you see Phil's playing in comparison
to those other players, you definitely get the sense of his skill. Only the
black strat player comes close to Phil's mastery.
Anyone know who was on keys, drums, and bass?
