Interesting to hear the multiple guitarists do their thing - I have a favorite I
think but have only seen half...wanted to post here for those who haven't seen
it.
Keaggy's strat sound was really thin in the intro but after the first verse
seemed to fatten up. I also noticed that that he was doing some
slap-harmonic chords towards the end of the verse to stay "in the
background" and in the "you might like to drink..." verse. Nice since I
counted a total of five guitars on stage: Phil, Paul, the semi-hollow body
player (who takes part of the second lead break), and the player of the
black strat (other part of the second lead), and the player of the tele in
the background. Keep your own space.
You're absolutely right Richard. When you see Phil's playing in comparison
to those other players, you definitely get the sense of his skill. Only the
black strat player comes close to Phil's mastery.

Saw this video a few weeks back. One of my band members at church sent it to
me, I think. Phil is very gracious in a jam setting. When we traded licks back
in April, he just let me do my thing and tried to enhance it, and even ended up
using what I was doing to set us up to do a harmony kind of thing. Pretty cool,
and made me look really good in my own church crowd! Obviously, he could smoke
most players in such a situation, but doesn't (at least on purpose!). I will
post the jam sometime when I get the edited video.
