I've added a new page to Fanaddict's site, The Barefoot Natives,
Willie K and Eric Gilliom have released a new CD. I received a pre
release CD from them and have added a slideshow and some info at
http://www.dannycouchfanaddicts.com/barefootnatives.htm
I will be adding interview answers and more clips shortly. This CD
is excellent and reminds one of the group HAPA. There is another
connection as well.
I hope you all are having a very special Memorial Day Holiday
Weekend. Please take a moment to stop and remember.. Someone is
currently fighting for our freedom; remember those who gave the
ultimate sacrifice.

I just wanted to say sorry to those of you who were expecting to
possibly hear more from me. I was busy with school work and also
seeing what was going on with the newly founded bruddahiz group which
is open to Bruddah Iz fans of all ages.
Just wanted to say that I'm excited for this year's Na Hoku Hanohano

nominees the best of luck.
When did it close?

See... that's the kind of thing that happens when you share your Aloha with your talent to help others for GOOD. Good for Keali'i... Hope he has another sucessful year at the Hokus. (Wednesday, May 31) Will be there in spirit that's for sure... anyone want to join me.. We could have our pretend table of 10!
Kathy
PS.. If anyone wants to do a fresh write up in the future on Kealii (or other Hawaiian Artists on AlohaMele.com, let me know)
In the first week of the effort with Borders Books & Music to raise
money for the Red Cross, Keali'i Reichel's "Kawaipunahele" CD has
become the No. 1 Hawaiian music release again. It ranked No. 7 on the
World Catalog chart. ...
Don't be sorry for not getting to us sooner. Sometimes there are more important things to "deal" with, like family life or work.
I do want to mention again about Kealii being in Ohio. I met Michelle in line at the airport in June when we were both on a cancelled flight. She had told me about the event back in June. From what I am told he will be teaching on Saturday & Sunday and was not planning on being there on Thursday & Friday.
If anyone is planning to attend the HMA, please feel free to send me an e-mail. I will be attending all of the public funtions and doing some shooting for a few other projects... From what I am told there are some artists who will be "off island" and not attending. Also if there are any AJ listeners who aren't attending, please get in contact with me privately for some neat stuff some of the staff members of ALOHA MELE.com are planning. :)
I want to apologize to those of you whose messages didn't get posted.
My life is still in tormoil and this is the first time I've been at the
site for quite some time. Feel free to repost or blast me for being
so slow about getting to them.
I'll do better in the future.

I don't need an answer from them anymore because I went to the
Unicell store yesterday, and the salesman said that my cell phone
type, Nokia, doesn't allow you to rip parts of songs off CD's as
ringtones. My guess is that there is not a ringtone
of "Kawaipunahele" out there anywhere for downloading, right? I'd be
shocked if there was. You never know though. Maybe there is, but I
highly doubt it. How about any of you?
