George Jones' Advice to Keith Urban
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -January 18, 2007 - George Jones says the best
advice he could give Keith Urban is to have him see what alcohol and
drugs did to Jones' career in the early years.

He says "it's hard to give the younger artists advice that they are
going to take because they are still young in life." Jones says he
lost a lot of important years because of drugs and alcohol. He
sobered up for good after a near-fatal car accident in 1999

Jones says he prayed he could quit drinking and doing drugs, he just
didn't think a terrible car accident was the way to curing him. Urban
left an alcohol rehab clinic over the weekend.

He entered the clinic last October just before the release of his
number one album "Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing." Urban is
planning to go back out on tour this April in Europe.
