Re: [KHOOMEI] Re: Sound Healing ...

"i've met many folks experimenting with
various methods who seem to be thoughtful
people of high integrity. i've also seen
a few who struck me as either a little loopy
or straight out charlatans. both camps tend
to get lumped together by the 'established
medical practice community' and then generally
dismissed."

Grover,

It is actually worse than that. At the risk of being
labeled a 'conspiiracy nut' I have to say that the AMA
actively surpresses holistic remedies that actually
work. I know it is a bit off topic, but consider my
situation...

2 years ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure
and high bad cholestrol. The doc put me on medication
for 1 month. I researched cholestrol and purchased a
few things...garlic pills, fish oil caplets, flax seed
oil caplets and aspirin. Coupled with a pretty radical
change of diet, my bad cholestrol dropped by half.
Triglicerides went from 789 to 333....!!! The doc took
me off the drugs and never asked what else I
did....Hmmmm...

Now a good doctor will employ WHATEVER works,
including holistic medicine, however being as most of
them are members of the AMA they lean towards western
'medicine' first, which you can tell by the long list
of side effects, are not necessarily the best things
to put in your body. I had to go in for a physical
problem and asked the temp doc what my counts
were...he was impressed by the change and was hesitant
to ask what I was doing since I look like a hippie.
lol.
As far as sound for healing goes, I am undecided.
However, western medicine uses sound
already...ultrasounds for imaging and I believe they
use directed amplified sound to break up certain
growths for easier removal. But it is like using sound
as a sledgehammer instead of the restful relaxing
sounds that Mr. Sklar is talking about.

Best regards,
Andy
