RE: [KHOOMEI] protocol

Well, either way, it's their forum, but it would actually be less
administrative work to do the "new user moderation" thing, versus the
current set up, since if a spammer posts, it never goes through....
and you don't have to log in and delete them right away, since their
subsequent posts will never make it to the group anyway, and you
could wipe them out whenever you felt like logging in, or even wait
until a brand new user posts a valid message here, which is about
once every 6 months or so.

Just to stay on topic... throatsinging is fun and useful.

:)

One of the problems that occurs when spam is responded to is it lets the spammer know that someone is reading it and that is why they send more. grover...

You could set up the group to moderate only "new" members posts, it's a feature of the Yahoo Groups settings, so when a spammer posts, it never makes the list,...

Hey John, Thanks for pointing that out. That is a relatively new feature and I'm glad that Yahoo added it (I turned it on for TyvanLearners). What I had read...

Hi Stacey, I'm wondering who, in their right mind, would ever bother to reply to a spammer in the first place, especially considering 99% of the time the email...
