I received more of an interest in that of Jew's Harp after hearing Sean P. Quirk
and others of Alash Ensemble play them.
The "Phone Card" Jew's Harp is designed after the Vietnamese Dan Moi Jew's Harp.
I don't happen to have a Dan Moi as of yet, So the Jew's Harp I made was just
from me eyeballing the videos trying to get the measurements right. When making
Jew's Harp any plastic card will do. Phone Card, Credit Card, Gift Card, etc. As
long as the card flexes well and snaps back to its original shape it should be
fine. The measurements for the first Jew's Harp I made is 3/4 wide and 3 3/8 in
length. The normal length for US card. As far as the V cut for the middle of the
card, I'm still trying to figure out the measurements for that. The card Jew's
Harp I made still has an okay boing to it though.
If Tran Quang Hai could
give us the measurements of his card Jew's Harp it would be most appreciated...

So how *do* you make a phone card jew's harp? Does it have to be a
phone card, can you use an old credit card or such? I got my fiance,
who can actually see, to look at the video and I get the idea, kind of,
but if anybody happens to have a set of instructions laying around they
can share, I'd really appreciate it. I'm terrible at figuring these
things out myself, heh. But I really want to make one.
