Hello!

Wow, what a beautiful scene. I am sitting at my desk admiring the snow
covered ladnscape. It finally happened, and we are enjoying the serene
- and cold - day. Hope you are too!

This year has started with a really big bang for me. I started the year
with an on air performance / interview with WFSS's "Free Flight" show (
In Fayetteville, NC) on the 7th,and that was such a blast. We played 7
of my songs on the radio - 3 live, and 4 off the disc, and chatted. I
even got to pick some of my favorite music to play on the radio.

The 8th Jubal and I played at the ArtsCenter, Carrboro, NC with 4 other
NC Performing Songwriters. What a wonderful evening! Great music all
around.

This past Friday night, (the 14th) was the award ceremony and reception
for the Emerging Artist Grant. I was honored to be among the other
artists that were selected. What an incredible feeling to be
acknowledged for doing what I love!

Upcoming events.

This coming weekend is dedicated to BORDER's Books & Music.

FRIDAY the 21st, we are performing at the North Raleigh Border's ( Six
Forks and Strickland), Our special guest this night will be Raleigh's
own, Bett Padgett. The show will last from 8 - 10 pm.

SATURDAY the 22nd we will be at the Border's in Cary. from 8 - 10.
ANOTHER SPECIAL EVENT.
ALSO APPEARING AT THE CARY BORDER'S Store in the afternoon (1:00 pm)is
an incredible artist that I happen to know. George Buchanan - (My
husband) He will be doing an in-store demonstation and instruction
about painting on location. He is usually out in Nature when he paints,
so this will be a little different, but it is very interesting and
entertaining. Definitely something you and you whole family would enjoy!

FRIDAY the 28th Border's in Greensboro, 8 - 10 pm
SATURDAY the 29th at the SkyLight Exchange in Chapel Hill. We will be
joined by 4 other NC FEMALE songwriters 9 - 11
