Under The Willow House Concert Series. . . .
Yes, I believe it is becoming a series. My husband and I are so glad we can give a little more than just shelter to some of our touring friends. We will be sponsoring house concerts in our natural, outdoor amphitheatre, and hope to introduce you to some great voices you may or may not have had a chance to hear.
These House Concerts will be held on Sunday afternoons, door opens at 3:30, and music starts around 4 pm. This should hopefully work well for the parents who need to get kids in bed, and still have a family outing and enjoy the day in the country and some great music.
We will be asking for $5 donations per adult, and bring a desert to share during the break and after the show, with a meet and greet for the artists.
September 23rd - Carla Ulbrich
Carla, a Clemson SC native, is a fantastic guitarist, and a humorist in her songwriting. I am excited to introduce her to you if you have never heard her before. I even graduated from USC, (Clemson's biggest rival) and I really like her. Here is what others have said as well. . .
Carla is cute as a button, hysterically funny and a phenomenal guitarist, possessing and original and lyrically creative folk repertoire.

"a fresh tongue-in-cheek delivery that Garrison Keillor should know about... A lot of fun, and a refreshing change from the norm. "
--Recording magazine, May 2000
Her wit and humor are so fresh...it should be date coded

The Six String Cafe & Music Hall ~ For those who were around and came to the Six String Cafe on August 17th for the night of music I shared with Meghan Cary, I say THANKS. We had standing room only, and I think everyone had a great time. We will be back there on November 2nd, and I can't wait. Except for special events, I am making the Six String my primary venue in the Raleigh and Cary area, so I hope those of you in North Raleigh will be able to make the trek. It is definitely worth the trip. A nice, smoke free listening room, where you can also get beer and wine.
I hope you will check out this wonderful venue, and tell all your friends. David Sardina, the owner, has had lots of great press, and is doing a wonderful job bringing in quality live, and independent, acoustic We definitely need more places like this in the world.
