MAY DAY ! MAY DAY! CALLING ALL MUSIC LOVERS!!!
happy May Day!
May is such a wonderful month for me every year, since it has my birthday, and mother's day ... and this year has an extra bonus. ILLUSIONS CD Release Party. That's right, the time is finally here for my new CD to be introduced to you all. It's sort of a Coming Out Party, a Christening, a DEBUTante Ball, a ____________ ( Fill in your favorite expression here) ! ! !
~ ~ ~ ILLUSIONS CD RELEASE PARTY ~ ~ ~
This Sunday, May 5th
Six String Cafe & Music Hall, Cary
( Families are welcome)
7 - 10 pm
( starts late enough so you can enjoy your day,
ends early enough for you to get your rest for Monday)
Opening the show will be Meghan Cary & Sarah Pinsker
Joining me on-stage is Michael Hsu (violin), Jubal (percussion) & Robin Cape ( from Asheville, on bass/vocals. . . and she just happens to be my sister).
All this for only $5
This is also your last chance to see us with Michael. He will be moving to Seattle, WA ( unless we can somehow convince him that playing music is more lucrative than being a doctor. . . . ) Also, having my sister on-stage with me will be a special treat. We haven't really done this before, but it is my good fortune to have this opportunity. Having bass & back-up vocals on-stage will be such a treat for me. . and you!
The Six String Cafe & Music Hall is in McGregor Village in Cary. If you need directions, email me and I will fill you in. This is a great venue, and as you may have seen on my mailings this past year, the only venue I play in the triangle. If you haven't been there before, you need to check it out. It's the best place to hear live music around. Great sound system, food and staff. The Six String Cafe & Music Hall, just celebrated their 1st year anniversary.

Do you know how you can tell you are playing at a classy joint? Some would say the red carpet, or the chandeliers, the incredible sound system. . . . but I saw, no! When I went into the restroom at the Kennedy Center, I was amazed. Each commode had a device that I had never seen before... of course, I don't get out much. When you arrive in your stall, you see a plastic sleeve around the seat. When you press a button, a new plastic cover rushes around the seat for your protection ( and if you're like me, your amazement). Worth the trip to DC just to see this.

Humorous thought for the day (month), brought to you by my neighbor, Sandy. . .
Inner Peace
I am passing this on to you.
It is definitely working for me.
I think I have found inner peace. I read an article that said the way
To achieve inner peace is to finish things I had started. Today I finished
two bags of potato chips, a chocolate pie, a bottle of wine and a small
box of chocolate candy. I feel better already.
