Greetings on a rainy Friday morning. . . .
YEAH! Finally we are getting much needed rain! ! ! I am not sure how much we have gotten since last night, BUT our wheelbarrow that was left in the yard is almost totally full of water. That's alot of rain! I hope that all our areas that have been in dire straights for rain, are having some of their wishes answered with this.
Fall is upon us, trees are starting to change into their splendid colors, and temps are dropping ( of course, allergies are also a big part of fall for me) What a beautiful season.
I had a fantastic time touring with Rachel Cross for 2 weeks, and we met lots of great folks, and dodged 3 hurricanes. While we were in Melbourne FL, we were watching Kyle, Lili & Isadore. For a while it looked like Kyle and Lili were on a collision path, and so I commented that if the two met, fell in love, and spawned baby hurricanes, they would be called "Kyla-Lili" ( pronounced as Calla- lili) Oh well, it was funny when I said it...
I also have updated the website with some more reviews. Hope you can take a look. www.kimbuchanan.com/reviews.htm

A Short (blonde) History Lesson? Thanks to my friend Blossom for supplying this
A blonde was sitting in class when the professor asked her if she knew what the Roe vs. Wade decision was. She sat there for quite a while pondering this very profound question and finally sighed and said, "I think that is the decision George Washington made prior to crossing the Delaware."

I hope you have a great weekend, and enjoy the fall! May will all continue to live in peace and trust that our elected officials keep level heads. As another songwriter I know likes to say, I wish you the best of everything. . .
Here are some words about my new CD, Illusions:
"...Buchanan has delivered a musical package that beams with soul and sensitivity. Her songwriting is smooth and fluid, with lyrics fitting the cosmic, haunting and stormy backgrounds created by equally fine musicians... The production quality is exceptional and is best appreciated with headphones on."

"...Kim Buchanan ... is already causing a buzz up and down the east coast with her dreamy, trippy take on folk music. Her second CD, Illusions, is folk rock with a psychedelic edge and a soothing, meditative effect on the emotions"
