Nobody Asked Me But...

...ya know, I really dig Pete cause he was the
original bass player, but I think John Dalton
musically was the best they ever had...

...but I realy dig Pete...

...have you ever noticed that the Castle remaster of
Kinks seems to feature Quaify's bass over Dave's
guitar in many spots...

...who ever decided on the cover of Face To Face
should have been fired...long ago...

...contrary to many opinions, I myself like the
instrumental version of Lola on Percy...Dave tears
that number apart!...

...I am pretty sure that "I Gotta Move" is the only
Kinks song where Ray mentions his 'gap'...

...why isn't Shel's arrangements both featured "bald"
in the title?...was he bald?...

...I wonder whole stole Dave's Guild?...

...I think Mick stands out on the Arthur LP...

...it still chaps my ass that Mick wasn't on the first
record. No offense to Bobby Graham, but Mick is more
than a capable drummer...

...the "George Cross" part is my favorite part of the
VGPS...

...why is it that "Plastic Man" got such a bad wrap?
I think it was brilliant. It was bitter satire that
hit right to the point. I know the guy Ray is singing
about, I really do! And John's bass is relentless in
that...

...have you noticed Dave is always screaming in the
background on Kinks songs?...

...I think the Kink Kronikles is just about the most
essential Kinks CD a fan could have, but the bad thing
is many of the songs are mixed so the lead vocals
stand out over the music. But, it does feature some
better mixes then on Castle's reissues...

...Castle's 1998 releases with all those bonus tracks
was the greatest thing to ever come from the record
industry...

...funny though, I wonder why they omitted "Berkely
Mews" and "She's Got Everything" on them...

...but hey, who asked me anyway?

That is something I have always wondered. Other bands, like the Beatles or Stones openly sang about marijuana in some of their songs, yet the Kinks only talked...
