try this:
get a really clangorous unison patch going (use fm and freq mod,
detuning, etc.)
now turn all the oscillators down in volume quite a bit, but turn noise
all the way up.
most analog cymbal circuits are a bunch of simple oscillators 'ring'
modulated after a fashion, and mixed w/ noise.

please tell how you get on!

does anyone know any good ways to get a good crisp cymbal sound out of my mono/poly? ive been trying and filtering then eq'ing white noise just isnt cutting...

Hi ... The the MonoPoly lacks a hipass filter, which is most relevant part for a synthesized cymbal. Cymbal produce more low frequencies, than you would...
