Hi i had the same problem, the only approach is to remove the " cracking "
circuit-Board ( first remove all Plastic-lever on M/Pīs front ,
when you open the case you can see which "poti-resistors" belong to
the board, in your case itīs the leftmost one.

Get the Circuit-Board free, than you have two ways:

Exhange the Trim-Resistor ( this includes soldering out the old one ....)
or you can try to spray " Carbon-Stuff " into the trim resistor.

I changed the whole part ( cost: ~0,20 Euro ) and things work well
till up to now.

Hi !

I have a problem with some crackling knobs on my mono / poly. Itīs the
main volume knob and the pw width knob. Does anyone know if this
problem could be fixed and how ?
