Re: [korg_mono-poly] Re: crackling knobs

Hi,

opening the case is really simple ( 4 philips-screws on the front panel, 2 left
2 right
and 3 screws in one row on the bottom of the case - back side ).
Then the whole front panel can be liftedbackwards.
You can see know all the PCB´s. Locate the PCB where the cracklin knob
is , pull up ALL grey-black knobs of the front panel and unscrew all six-sided
screws,
which hold the PCB to the font panel.
Then unscrew the PCB ( mostly 4 screws )
Than it´s easy aganin.
Unsolder the defect Poti ( the Ohm value is printed on the Trimmie) and replace
it
( soldering )with a knew one ( should be available in every electronic parts
store ).

Thanks Gunti,

I have never opened the case before, so I´m not quite shure exactly
what you mean. Could all the crackling knobs (in my case its volume,
the pw witdh and one of the VCO volume knobs) be fixed by exchanging
only one part ? Or is it rather one "Trim-Resistor" to exchange per
crackling knob and how do I find the right replacement part ?

Best Regards /

Martin
