wow, that was just an idea, now you set it in stone... hope that
works :-)
lately I don't even manage to advance with the more urgent work, but
this was really an amazing opportunity we had to grab. And now there
is fascination...:

I see the problem of becoming addict or base compositions on those

I did not yet. It would be rather easy to create the sysex on a
computer but a hw controller can usually only send out sysex sequences
from buttons, not CC (is that right?)

oh sure, I have seen in the service manual that there are two inputs
for the pickups and we are certainly free to feed them with any audio
signal.
quite interesting idea really, you could feed it from a mixer and play
your whole setup through it.
There is a stereo converter and one of the inputs is fed by 4
connected pickups and the other by the RIM MOUNT jack. I dont know
whether both inputs are treated the same by the sofware, so it might
be interesting to create another input to replace the mics.
I am a bit disapointed that the software does not receive separate
signals from several spots or from several kinds of pickups to
interprete them in some smart way.

hm... so the sound as it was meant to be used is not interesting enough?

yes, a collection of recordings is always the best way to present an
instrument
- which could be the intention of this list, I don't know...
