Re: heads

The problem with that is it'll take me till the end of my life to
wear each one out! By then I wont be able to remember waht the first
one sounded like - of course, I'd be dead too so it wont matter.

I got it for just over a grand - sterling. That's about 2000 usd. No
stand or re-1 programmer or, curiously, the rim!
I don't need the rim since I'm hand drumming but I still regard it as
a good price. I might try to make a stand if one of you kind people
would let me have some photos and measurements etc.

Mine (bought at a Tokyo music store just as Korg had discontinued them) came with a coated batter head of some sort, probably Remo. Not great for hand...

My wavedrum has a Remo Fiberskin on it. It sounds great to me, and it is fairly bright and resonant. I have been thinking for a long time to get a real...

Sound like I'll go with the fiberskin option then. Sorry to harp on But There are 3 grades of fiberskin - any advice? G...

Hi Gareth, ... As far as a stand, I find that an ordinary, heavy duty snare stand (I like Yamaha) works fine. I usually sit with the WaveDrum between my legs,...

Yeah - like the track. Not quite sure how much of it is wavedrum since I haven't had time to delve yet. Nice, atmospheric stuff. You can almost feel the heat! ...

Jon, Gareth, thanks for checking out the track. The talking drum-like sound is the Wave, everything else is acoustic percussion or synth (Juno 60). I think a...
