I personaly look down on the use of a compressor for bass playing. A compressor
is better used with guitar players when doing tricks or when needing a lot of
sustain. In bass the compressor is used to make a more uniform sound. But I
think that all compressors take away from the natural sound when playing. My
advice is to keep it off. If you want a more uniformed sound then work on
playing uniformly.

Subject: [korgbass] AX1B compressor
hi, i found the compressor on the AX1B very good for many patches,
but i think it colours a lot the sound. so, if im after that sound,
its ok. But if i just want to work on the dynamic, seems like its
not the best.
What do you guys think? am i right? or its just that im not using it
good?
