Hi.
Please can someone tell me how to link the er1 mk11 and ea1 mk11
together so that they will be in synch,
I am a novice,
and need many years of training from my boddhisattvas.

You need some kind of batch convertor
The latest beta of the freeware Adacity has such a function in an
"experimental" state which appears to do batch file conversions .... Maybe
it's worth downloading it and digging it to see for yourself ?
Otherwise full blown commerical applications such as Steinberg Wavelab or
BIAS Peak will do the trick.

Hello,
I'm not sure if anyone helped you yet with your es-1 looping problem...
The only way you can do that is to slice your sample,
and load it into the slice Part.
Only sliced samples can be looped while the key is held.
That is one of the unfortunate limitations of the es-1.
You can only have one sliced sample per Patern.
Also, a note on slicing on the es-1:
your sliced samples can only be 16 steps long,
so be carefull with that,
if you try to slice a 32 step beat or sample,
the slicing will be innacurate, and will sound jumbled.
Theres lots of confusing instructions in the manual about sliced samples,
but bare with it and you will figure it out.
Good luck!

I'd like to be able to trigger my ES-1 from a keyboard. But rather
than have it play the sample/loop once, I'd like to be able to hold it.
I don't seem to be able to find anything in the ever helpful manual or
have I just missed something.
Any help etc would be appreciated, thanks

Okay, I have been using an Electribe MX for about a year now. God
damn is it a great machine, but making "songs" on it seems a little
over clunky.
Having to figure out exactly what order and number of patterns I am
going to use, then hand enter them into the electribe is really
quite tedious.
Does anyone know if I just missed the memo? Is there a way to just
sit down, press record, and essentially play this thing live and
have it record that into song mode?
It would save a lot of time and frustration for me at least.
I would kill, like any random house wife for anyone who could
suggest something better to me.
Also, I have been recording the individual tracks of my songs, and I
generally have been doing it by making a "song", then setting all
the parts except for the one I am recording to the "3/4" output, and
playing the song into a computer running Acid. Does anyone know an
easier way?
I'm sure this tips been said before but to beef up the bass only with
compression, pan everything to the left except for the bass. Pan the
bass to the right all the way or almost all the way and run the right
output through your compressor. voila individual out for the bass.

Hi every body!!!!
The following information might be of great help for many people in this
group as it was for me.
I came accross this little boxes that addresses many midi situations our
equipment is not capable of doing.
The event processor and event processor plus can make all your midi
equipment do things never thought posible. The list is too large to write,
just go to http://music.ashbysolutions.com/ to check it out, even
though you can go to the company site (www.midisolutions) , the best deal I
found is with the ashby site with free shipping.
Bruce Wahler have written a guide with midi situations examples to show its
capabilities, it is very impressing, specially the many things you can make
your midi equipment do.
I sent for the Event Processor Plus ($150.00) for the following main
aplications on my midi equipment:
1. to choose fixed velocity values on all the pads of my Yamaha DD-55, since
one pad is almost non responsive and the other 6 have diferent action. I'll
rather have a WORKABLE fixed velocity response on ALL pads with a normal
stick hit and not hard banging the pads to TRY to get a uniform sound and
eventually damaging the unit.
2. mapping the 6 channels of my Yamaha EZ-AG midi guitar to one channel, so
I can use it to drive one channel of my various sound generators, instead of
all 6 channels. This also helps me when changing sounds, only have to change
it on one channel.
3. mapping the midi pedal controller Bherringer FCB 1010 to send any midi
message I want at will. I have midi equipment with functions I rather
controll from the foot controller, like the 4 pattern variations that start
with a fill pattern on my PSR 740, the 2 intros and the 2 endings, they use
NRPN and no pedal controller to do that.
With this box I can turn any midi message from my footpedal (midi note,
etc..) to a NRPN and trigger the patterns on my keyboard, since I'm a guitar
player this is a must!!! If the PSR 740 is able to receive this information
through the midi in, I'll be in heaven!!!!
4. to filter out any midi message or messages I choose not to send to the
rest of the chain, so I don't activate undesired midi events.
The Event Processor and the EPPlus have a computer software to program it
using a midi out from your computer or making a midi file you can play
through the box.
I also ordered the Quadra Through (one midi in/4 midi outs) to mainly sync
1 unit to 4 , making this 5 units in sync mixing the audio out of each into
a multitrack recorder, I have the Yamaha AW16G . Once I have the tracks
recorded, the mixdown and finishing touches. The beauty of midi in sync is
that you can replay everything and record any part you want and it will
always keep it in sync.
I can also use the midi out of the AW16G to sync 4 units and I can choose to
record any of them or all at once.
The best thing of the Quadra Through is the price less than $50.
The units are very small and don't require external power sources.
By the way, I'm not afilliated to this store or products, I'm just a midi
musician that found a product that will expand my creativity with my midi
gear.
Hope it is of help!!!!!

Hi
My beloved ES-1 has been plugged into a wrong voltage (220v instead of
127v - the ac adaptor is only 127v) and now it´s completely dead. I´ve
gone to Korg´s official repair here in Brazil, but the total cost of
the fix (they told me it needs a new mainboard) it´s almost twice the
price of an used ES-1... Does anybody knows how to get that board
directly from Korg or another dealer, or does anyone have a broken ES-1
to sell?
Thanks in advance
thanks...
i don't have a smartmediacard, but we will see...

You need the the "1.ES1" File and a Smartcard to upload it.
I'm not sure if they have that file on the korg site.
If not i can mail you that file. Its about 3.7 MB
