Hi
I'm new to the group; I apologise for pitching straight in with a
problem but I'm hoping someone will be able to help. I'm using the Z1
with an Akai MPC4000 that I've just got. when I play in a bassline
(or whatever) from the Z1, it sounds fine as I'm playing it. However,
when I play back the sequence, the Z1 acts as if the sustain pedal has
been depressed i.e. all the notes keep ringing into each other
forever. I am using it with other keyboards and they're fine with the
Akai. I repatched the gear so that the 'Z1 sequence' is feeding a
different keyboard and it sounds exactly as I played it. I've also
fed 'other keyboard' sequences into the Z1 and I get the same issue -
all the notes ring as if the sustain pedal was down.
I'm concluding from this that the problem is to do with the Z1 and not
the sequencer but I can't seem to set the Z1 in such a way that this
doesn't happen. Has anybody come across this problem? Any
suggestions welcome.
