The Lincoln Association for Traditional Arts is a non-profit organization formed April 1, 1982. Our mission is to preserve and promote folk and traditional music, dance, and related arts in the Lincoln Nebraska area.

LAFTA is the only local organization that is specifically dedicated to bringing well known traditional musicians and highly respected contemporary folk performers to the Lincoln area. The association also sponsors events that feature local musicians, songwriters, folk dancers and storytellers.

LAFTA is again pleased to present our Main Stage Concert series at The 7th Street Loft at 504 South 7th Street in Lincoln NE and Contra Dances at the Auld Pavilion in Antelope Park in Lincoln NE. Both facilities are fully accessible.

We seek to provide reasonably priced concerts that are family-friendly, fully accessible, and in smoke-free environments. House concerts are also part of our regular schedule. Check our website at www.lafta.net for more information.
