Vicente Fernández keeps the fire burning with his newest studio album
- Necesito de Ti. At a point in his career when he would be justified in
basking in his status as Mexico's greatest living singer, Vicente
Fernández continues to push mariachi music forward and soar to the
top of the charts. Over 84 weeks after its release, Para Siempre remains
in the Top 10 of Billboard's Top Latin Albums. Live DVD Primera Fila
(2008) became the first all-Spanish DVD to hit No. 1 on Billboard's
video sales chart. This year he's picked up two Latin Billboard awards,
two Premios Lo Nuestro, and last year he won two Latin Grammys - all for
his recent albums and singles. A hitmaker since the 1960s, Vicente
Fernández takes his body of work into the 2010s with Necesito de Ti
and its first single, the title track.
