<color><param>0100,0100,0100</param>Hi Chris,
Dan here, who was inquiring about HANK. Jonathon Marx (of the
Chop) replied with a trade deal (I'll send him something Welsh and
he'll send me Hank). Quite exciting!
I've seen Josh Rouse live with none other than Kurt himself, in
Bristol, on tour to promote the Chester EP. I have to say that it
was the best gig I've ever been to. Only about 70 people were there
(it was in a pub's "Upper Room") and it was just Kurt and Josh on
guitars. The age difference didn't matter. neither did the difference
between their music - it was sublime. Unlike Chester, Kurt got a
fair shout in on the vocals and they did a fair number of each others
songs, as well as covering such classics as the Cure's "Boys Don't
Cry". Man, it was amazing - like a dream.
Anyway, Josh has released two albums - the superior "Dressed Up
Like Nebraska" which is one of my favourite albums ever and sends
tingles down my spine and makes me want to hit the road!!! It's like
a childhood memory somehow.
Then there's Home, which is quality but hasn't got the , whatever it
is, that Dressed Up... has.
Get DULN first of all. Josh is a car valet, to Kurt's floor laying job.
Great isn't it? Regular people!!
So there. Josh is yong too - early-mid twenties.
Later.
Dan :-)!!
