loved the somerset house gig
- the atmosphere was great - open air but in the heart of the city -
different feel than open air festival - interesting and different and
i enjoyed that - also considering 3000 people were there, still a
balmy laid back atmosphere - if you like that sort of thing (and i
do - must be my age ;) )
and yes the seagulls were great too as jon mentioned - anyone see
those office cleaners at the window watching most of the gig ? and
the decorator chappy sanding the floor in the middle of the night?
and i felt it sort of apt that is used to be the office for
registration of births, death and marriages
(wondering if kurt knew that and if he chose venue or promoter did ?-
it seems an unusual venue)
i was also at the other two concerts dave metioned below - and they
were all very different but i enjoyed them all - the royal festival
hall one was fantastic musically but i was also very moved by the
solo set
unfortunately i never got to see the queen elisabeth hall one - but
it must have been great cos the live cd "the queens royal trimma" is
actually the lambchop cd i would take to the desert island if i had
to chose just the one
and if the two people i talked into buying this live cd at the
merchandising stand are on here - hope you are happy with it !
howdy for now, best loulou
