Howdy,

With the recent release of "Tools in the Dryer," a singles, b-sides,
and rarities compilation, I realized the demand for these hard to
find Lambchop songs. Due to Lambchop's now huge catalog of songs,
many songs simply couldn't fit on the 1 1/2 CDs in the compilation.
So after getting the go-ahead from Dennis of Lambchop, we decided
that instead of having to pay an arm and a leg on ebay for out of
print Lambchop EPs and rarities, that we could offer it to you, the
lambchop fan, piecemeal on a monthly basis. Again, this is just for
hard to find stuff and I do not want to take away any from the band
or any of the smaller labels in possibly selling an album. This is
just to keep you, the dedicated Lambchop fan, from getting ripped off.

So from now on, roughly once a month, a new rare Lambchop mp3 will be
uploaded to the Lambchop CUD group website. To access the file, go to
http://groups.yahoo.com
Login with your Yahoo ID/password that you set up to be a part of the
list, go to the lambchop-cud group (or add it to your groups if not
already a member), click on files, and then download the song. It may
seem complicated by this email, but it's really not.

This month is the first month that this is being done. The track
is "Theone" from the Queens Royal Trimma EP, which has been out of
print after its initial run of 1000 sold out at some Lambchop
concerts in the UK last fall. The track will be available only for
one month. It will then be replaced by another track, probably around
November 1, 2001. Again, this will only be a Lambchop CUD thing (not
HICKEY), so if you're a HICKEY member only (aka the "lambchop" yahoo
group), now might be the time to subscribe to "lambchop-cud" as well.
I simply don't have enough time with my dialup connection to do it
twice. Sorry about any inconvenience.

As for the web page, I've been doing a bit of updating to it. I
recommend checking out the Lambchop discography, which has had a LOT
added to the compilations section recently. Also, for those of you
looking for some more live Lambchop material, I'm going to try to let
you know where to find some at the "multimedia" section. Neither I
nor the band vouch for its quality and strongly encourage you NOT to
pay for it, but it is out there and I feel as though you should know
about it. If the band feels that this is hurting them, I will gladly
remove the section. However, I don't know of any band to date that
has ever been hurt by people trading and enjoying live recordings.

Lastly, look forward to some Christmas music from Lambchop in the mp3
section described above as the season approaches. Any requests for
rare recordings will gladly be appreciated. Personally, I'd love to
hear a Lambchop version of "Behind Closed Doors" which I heard them
do once a long time ago at Lucy's.

Again, if any member of the band is reading this and does not like
what's happening with these mp3s, please let me know and I'll gladly
stop.

Prairie-doggin' it,
Jamie
