Thursday, July 2nd: Abbey Pub (Chicago IL) - This will be Scythian's first return to Chicago since they opened for Great Big Sea at The House of Blues. The guys fell in love with Chicago and so insisted on making a stop on their way to Summerfest. Those faithful who have been coming to seen us at the Ballydoyle we haven't forgotten about you, but just had time for one Chicago stop this time through. This is our first time at the Abbey and so we'd love to impress and let them know that Scythian belongs in downtown Chicago. Any help grassroots promotion would go a long way. Saturday July 4th: Summerfest Milwaukee - Scythian will be celebrating our nation's birthday in a big way with a dream slot opening for Flogging Molly at one of Summerfest's premier stages: The Miller Lite Stage. The past two years Scythian has got to open for Guster and Rodrigo y Gabriella on the Briggs & Stratton Stage, and never imagined they'd be opening for a band they love on the Miller Lite Stage. Summerfest has hooked the fellas up with a marathon set starting at 7:30 pm so you'll be able to witness 100 minutes of mayhem, and then do it all over again with Flogging Molly! Summerfest is the world's largest music festival featuring thousands of bands over a one week period. Check out the lineup on the official website.
