Brother Mike's Musings...by Mike Larkin 'The best audience is one
that is intelligent, well-educated, and a little drunk...'
Hellooo all...
Here I am on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend thinking to myself -
sure we are playing this Monday May 28 at Gaelic Park Irish Fest in
Oak Forest, IL at 6 PM but what else is happening? Well there is
lots. We announced our festival schedule last e-mailbut I forgot to
mention a few more tidbits.
2008 Tour of Ireland Planning
Well we are finally planning a return to the mother land (It's only
been eight years) next year but before we finalize plans we want to
put a question to our great followers. Now only answer this one if
you we plan to join us on the tour but under consideration are two
different times next year. The question is should we tour in March
or June? There are pros and cons to both. March is cheaper, less
crowded and there is probably more sunshine but harder sometimes hard
for people to get away. June of course is the summer and much more
lively and much easier for people to get away. Let us know. The
plan is to go for seven nights and touch on some of the best places
we can find. An annoucement will come soon...
Shimmy...
For all you shimmiers at Forever Green this past March, we posted a
thirty second snipet on our my space site
www.myspace.com/thelarkinandmoranbrothers. It's pretty cool, make
sure you leave your comments....
Light My Fire Sightings...
Back in August of 2005 we open for the remaining memebers of the
Doors, Ray Manzarek and Robbie Kreiger. We got to meet them after
the concert andwe gave them some of our T shirts. Since then Robbie
has been sighted on stage wearing our band shirt during concerts.
The latest is this past month at the Vic.
