Brother Mike's Musings... by Mike Larkin... '...A jumper cable walks
into a bar. The bartender says, "I'll serve you, but don't start
anything"...'
Hellooo all…
We've been off a couple of weeks but now it's time to go back to
where we are most comfortable `The Pub'. And there isn't a better
place to start than this weekend at the Kerry Piper
www.kerrypiper.com . We play Friday Oct 12 at 9 PM. Join us won't
you.
Welcome Tiernan Joseph
This is a note on congratulations to our own Terry Moran who is a
proud new papa. Terry's wife Molly gave birth to a bouncing baby boy
Tiernan Joseph on this past September 20.
True to his father music passion, young Tiernan has already mastered
the harmonica!
Terry's Ticket to Travel… by Terry Moran
(Terry Moran is going to lead us on a little bit of his travel wisdom
as we approach our tour of Ireland `Seven Drunken Nights' from June
19 – 27, 2008….take it away, Terry -DL)
Thanks, Dan.
An American tourist was driving in County Kerry, when his motor
stopped. He got out seeing if he could locate the trouble. A voice
behind him said, "The trouble is the carburetor." He turned around
and only saw an old horse. The horse said again, "It's the carburetor
that's not working." The American nearly died with fright, and dashed
into the nearest pub, had a large whiskey, and told Murphy the
bartender what the horse had said to him.
Murphy said, "Well, don't pay any attention to him; he knows nothing
about cars anyway."
Although we have named our tour next year `Seven Drunken Nights' we
will do more than just drink. Ireland is the Land of Saints and
Scholars, 40 shades of Green, and U2. If you have never been there
before the first impression you will have is how great the people
are. There is a relaxing way that the Irish conduct there daily
lives and once you've been there you will want to return.
Over the next few blogs I will take you through the places we will
visit in Ireland and a bit of what we will be doing. Next Blog:
Galway- Town of the Tribes
And that it from me as well-
Slainte!!
