Brother Mike's Musings...by Mike Larkin.... "I have a Bluetooth
headpiece that I use. Sometimes, I just leave it in my ear so when
the phone rings, I can just answer it with a touch of a button.
However, I found new trick....When I'm at work and someone that I
don't want to talk to comes up to me, I pretend I'm on the phone and
I do the "one finger in the air - I'm on the phone" move (point to
the earpiece)...It's perfect, they just walk away. Brilliant!

Helloo all

Well the holidays are over and as I write this we are having some
warm weather in Chicago right now. I'm not one to debate about
global warming but I do know that I like winter only through the
holidays anyway so it's a nice break.

The Celtic Rat Pack Tour 2008

....begins next Saturday Jan 12 at the Kerry Piper at 9 PM
(www.kerrypiper.com). We are entering our 13th year of playing.
When we started a couple of members were just finishing high school
and some were not supposed to be playing pubs. This of course is not
true for me.

Our first public gig was at a defunct Frankfort restaurant. Mike
Murphy wasn't in the band yet although as a musician friend of
Terry's (with a pierced eye brow) he let us use some of his
equipment. Keven Moran was not in the band yet either as he was just
a senior in High School. Joe was a senior in College and did not
make a practices before the show.

We needed music stands as we could barely remember the words and all
I can say is that it is a wonder we ever made it to the second gig....

2008 promises to be our best year yet. We are in discussions with an
Irish Liquor Company for sponsorship. the March schedule looks
fantastic as does the Festival Schedule and we are embarking on a
tour in Ireland in June with about 60 of our friends. All I can say
is it is still fun...

Ireland Tour

There is still room. I have had people asking about this during the
Christmas break we had. The dates are June 19-27. For more details

The New Web Site

I'm having fun with the new web site. I've posted a whole bunch of
old photos that were laying around that people have sent us and have
a few more to post. In the near future the site should be more
interactive. If you having gone to it lately check it out.
