I set this place up so you could hide your email address. I thought
that maybe spammers could get our addresses because they were listed
here. I had my address hidden at first, but when I saw most people
didn't have their addresses hidden, I "unhid" mine.
Does anyone know if it is safe to have your address listed here?

The real trick would be to play them all at the same time. : )

Good to see a message board devoted to one of the most astounding
musical talents around! I'll never forget a Dylan show in New Orleans
a few years back where it was the 8th or 9th song in the setlist
before Larry played the same instrument twice. And he plays them all
very, very well.
I can't wait to hear what's coming in the future!
Thanks, Joy, for making sure we all keep up with Larry Campbell!
.....of Larry doin some solo acoustic gigs....or small club shows?
Larry by far is the best guitarist around today. I dont see any reason
why he cant command a stage himself. At least in the Buffalo Ny area :)
He said he'd probably be playing pedal-steel, fiddle, mandolin and
guitar.

Interesting. Given that Elvis handles guitar himself,
and the Impostors, it's easy to conclude Larry in the
multi-instrumentalist role

Hmmm...it was my impression that Emmylou would open.
But to see Emmylou and Elvis would be way cool. Elvis
played in Denver in March, and the show was nothing
short of grade-A all the way! Too bad Elvis is not
at Telluride, which I'm stoked about (the lineup is
at planetbluegrass.com).

Hi John
Larry told me, "She's joining his tour to sing with him and
they're gonna add me to the band."
I assumed that to mean that they were singing together and not doing
separate sets.

Hi, Folks! Glad to see a list for Larry Campbell,
who greatly enhanced my Dylan experiences between
1997-2004. I was also lucky enough to see Larry
back Richard Shindell at the Newport Folk Festival
around 2000. In fact, when Richard introduced
Larry, I yelled a big "LARRRRRRRRRRRRRY" and the
guy literally blushed from the attention with an
"Aw gosh" smile. It was that moment I knew the man
behind the musician was and is righteous!
Also, I'm behind a bit...is Larry backing Elvis
Costello or Emmylou? I ask because I'm going to
the Telluride Bluegrass Fest, where Emmylou is
always there. I'm guessing Elvis, because I know
Emmylou's right-hand guitar man is the very fine
Buddy Miller; but it would be way cool to see
Larry support Emmylou.

try on Monday the 16th for practice. Here is what the website says:

heard by over 900,000 radio listeners on over 400 radio stations
each week.
7:00PM Watch the 60 minute show live as it happens
8:03PM Join the audience as they record this week's promo
8:05PM Enjoy the encore performances not heard on radio
http://www.woodsongs.com/wotrh.html
It says the shows are archived, so if ya can't listen on Monday
night, you can listen another time.
We expect a report from Linda who said she's going. : )

I'm listening to a Dylan show from 2002. I was just sitting her fantasizing about being at the Boston Emmylou/Elvis show and yelling out, "Honest With Me!" lol
Don't worry; I won't!!!

I doubt he will post here, (of course you never know!) but he may read it in his spare time. I know he has checked the guestbook before.
In the past, he has often answers questions I give him that people have about his instruments, etc.

Thank you,Joy, for creating this messageboard.
I´m really looking forward to many good news about Larry and nice
discussions about his music .
And thank you, Larry.
cause without him this would not be here!
I am hoping to catch a Midnight Ramble in October. I agree that it
will be really cool with or without Larry and since we have to take
our chances, a Fall drive through northern NY sounds lovely.
Hey anybody going to see Larry play in Kentucky? I plan on going with
my daughter and I understand from their web site that there is a jam
session in the lobby before the show......so be sure to bring yur
guitars!! I am going to try to get there early anyway...probably not
as eary as I get to a Dylan show though! LOL

Hi
Yup...Larry is playing with Elvis Costello and Emmylou Harris in
July.
I think that is the only month they are touring.

Larry said he'd be at the rambles if his schedule permits. If
anything else doesn't come up, he should be there. I'm sure it's a
great show with or without Larry! I'd love to go one day. They sell
out fast too.
Joy
and thanks to larry for some really amazing music over the years.
here's to many more.
hey can anyone tell me if larry intends to sit in on more of levon's

best,

Thanks to Dag for posting Larry's discography here. Now, just keep it
up to date!!
I also put some dates on the calendar here. I will try to keep it
updated as I hear about things that Larry is doing.
Joy
Larry is playing with Kenny White at Joe's Pub in New York City for
anyone in that area on May 12th.
Larry plays on Kenny White's latest album.
Kenny's webpage is here:
http://www.kennywhite.net/yesflash.htm
Larry has also played a couple of times at The Bouche Bar in New York
City with members of Ollabelle.
Joy
Yes...Thanks Joy.It's great to be able to have a place to talk about
what Larry is up to! Larry is by far my fav guitarist in the
world....now there is a place to always be up to date! Thanks
Joy...Hello everyone. Thanks Larry!
....and thanks to Joy for creating this group. It's
good to see you do all this, and of course it's great
to hear what Larry's up to.

Thanks to everyone who set this page up. I just wanted to say that I
LOVE your playing and it was always a treat to see you on stage with
Bob Dylan. I wish you the best of luck with all your future
ventures...please keep us posted as to what's going on in the
future!!!
Hi
Wecome to this message board. I created it, so Larry's friends and
fans can discuss his career.
Larry starts recording with Ollabelle tomorrow. He's producing
tracks
for their new album. I saw Ollabelle in concert when they played
with
The Great High Mountain Tour. That entire show was really a good one.
