Nancy’s always watching the low-tier traditional channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) on their new duplicate upper tier locations (in the 500s). I can never figure out what’s on.

I knew all those hundreds of upper channels would come in handy.
Larry was on Letterman last night with Loudon Wainwright III, too.
He been busy.
Now, if he could just find a steady job.
Oh, wait. That’s me.

In case you've been busy over the last 48 hours, Larry was awarded a
Lifetime Achievement Award for his instrumental work from the Americana
Music Association.
I posted a photo on the webpage.

Maybe you were looking to forget that association....if so, pardon the infringement! Nevertheless, it was a remarkable and fun time, wasn't it?
I saw Catherine when she was here in Portland...she sounds fantastic, as you know! Glad to hear the creative synthesis between you. Also, your presence and expertise have been phenomenal--BRAVO on your continued success, Larry!
I have a little tune I think might be worthy of greater noise, entitled "My Rough & Tumble Guy". I'd love to get it to an artist or two, but this is my first entry into country music so I thought I would run it by you, as you're so very well connected in that world.
Please let me know if you would have a couple minutes to listen--I sure would appreciate it, Larry! Thank you so much.

Did Levon and Phil play the Pavilion in Boston? I couldn't find a complete listing for the
Pavilion this year.
I have been thinking all morning how good the Dylan shows were, especially around the
beginning of this century (Sounds funny, doesn't it?) with the great openers with Larry (and
Charlie) doing back-up vocals. What great shows they were, what a lot of fun it was to
go to a Dylan concert then. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Anyway.
Thanks,
g

Not sure if this one has been posted to the group yet.
Road Trip This Past Weekend:
If you're ever in Virginia, and you're traveling on I-81, mosey on over
to Floyd and check out their Friday night Jamboree.
http://www.floydcountrystore.com/
For just $3, you'll be transported to a different planet where
bluegrass and old time music are the real deal.
The locals take to the dance floor, and some of them are a
definite "hoot".
We stayed at Hotel Floyd, and it was a beautiful and unique place to
stay and only a stone's throw from the venue.
The music went on for four hours. It's the best deal around.
After our evening in Floyd, we headed for Marion, Virginia, where "Song
Of The Mountains" is filmed for tv broadcast. We watch it quite often
on PBS and wanted to check it out in person sometime. For $15, we got
another 4 hours of music. (I first heard about this place when Larry
and Teresa played there.)
http://www.songofthemountains.org/
In between the music, we visited a few wineries.

So much to do in Virginia...so little time!

Review: Phil Lesh & Friends - Part 2: Till the Morning Comes
by Greg M. Schwartz
01 July 2008
Over five nights, the former Grateful Dead bassist played eight of the
Dead’s albums in full, in order, culminating with a final, six-and-a-half
hour show that was a fitting finale to San Francisco’s Warfield Theatre,
which is closing for renovations and will re-open under new management.

Larry is liking the black background. I keep the warm browns too.
Come back in 6 months to see it completed. : ) I'm slow!

Hi Joy,
I like the new colour, it fits to the photos.
Maybe you can change the colour sometimes. Or you can get maybe a
sort background pattern.
But the best of the colours of that link are the names, f.e.
"wasabis sauce", "naplesyellowdeep" or "mouthwash"
Thanks for organizing his website all the time
Marita
Hi
We made it to 100 members!!
Does anyone have an opinion on the new color on Larry's main page?
We're trying to match the photo (Thanks Linda!) at the top of the page.
If you don't like it, do you have any suggestions?
There are millions of colors:

There's an interview with Larry in the July issue of Relix - the jam band magazine - on news stands now! Or you can go to the Relix web site, register for free and read the issue on line.
Ya know, this could be the first time I've ever been the first to report something about Larry. I'm usually the last one to know what's going on. Just before he finds out. :)
