LASO is celebrating its 63rd season with 2009-2010! LASO is an amateur community orchestra dedicated to providing performance opportunities for local musicians in Los Alamos, New Mexico. LASO is always interested in hearing from musicians new to the community and from former members who would like to start playing again. Suggestions for our future activities are also encouraged.

The Fall Concert is scheduled for November 13, 2009 at the IHM Catholic Church and will feature:

• Symphony No. 104 "London" - Haydn
• Oveture to "La Gazza Ladra" - Rossini
• On the Steppes of Central Asia - Borodin
• Cello Concerto No. 1 - Saint-Säens (Jim Knudson, soloist)

Rehearsals begin Monday, August 31 @ 7:00 - 9:00 pm - Los Alamos High School orchestra room. Dress rehearsal will be on November 11. Click on calendar link to see full detailed rehearsal schedule.

Future concerts include an annual holiday concert December 11 at the White Rock Baptist Church, a Spring Concert April 16 at IHM Catholic Church, and our joint concert with the Los Alamos Choral Society in January/February (date TBD).
