Hi All! Glad to see there are still jazz lovers out there.
I used to go to the Riviera to see the Don Menza big band years
ago. No longer there. Then there was the Blue Note Club at the Aladdin, no
longer there. Then there was the "Just Jazz" club...it's gone too. Heck I even
went to Pogos Tavern on Decatur to see those old guys play jazz, but even they
are no longer there! I know jazz isn't dead in Vegas but it seems to barely have
a pulse. Just joined this group to see if I can find some jazz! If your
interested, I have some of my drum solo clips posted on youtube.com under
"drumminman4U". Just me doing some "old school" Buddy Rich type stuff. One of
them is an audition clip for a cruiseline. I would love to see some good live
jazz out here before I'm on the high seas! Help!!!
