New from Coffee-Hut Records:
Iron Oxide: Ohio/Periodic Table
The new two-concept album from Iron Oxide, in a special limited
edition release of 25. This version comes with the bonus disc
"Actinide," which makes for three CD's in handmade cardboard sleeve
with silk-screened artwork by Jeff and Kat. There's nearly 200 songs
here, enough to cover all 88 counties in Ohio and all the named
elements of the periodic table. The "Ohio" disc has a lot of acoustic
instruments on it, but the "Periodic Table" disc is mainly the product
of drum machine programming -- a feeble attempt at "dance" music? The
third CD is just plain fancy. It took Iron Oxide nearly nine months to
put this together. Maybe because they're "a little slow," or maybe
because it's really good? Yes, we will sell out of these, so yes, you
better buy it now and stop dicking around.
