New Releases since 9/1/2007 (45 items)
======================================
Aidan Baker - Exoskeleton Heart (CDR) - Crucial Blast $9.00
"new hour long disc of deep, meditative amplifier drone and beautiful
subterranean drift from the Toronto avant-guitarist"
Alpendre - 01:05:03,924 (CDR) - TIBProd $8.00
Argumentix - nightmarcher (CASS) - Below PDX $6.00
"Life in the Pre-Apocalypse brings Argumentix time of leisure to
reflect on the immediate. The newest album joins pain and sorrow
knuckle scraping on cement floors. A smashed throat spurting grunts,
moans and crooning thorns against tape loop manipulations, sequencer
configurations, and urban field recordings. A departure from previous
albums with focused anger and reluctance to acknowledge the future.
Existential crisis has never felt so optimistic. Cover art by Shoosha
screenprinted by Nick Bittakis on wallpaper samples of various colors
and paterns."
Argumentix - Tarantula Downpour (7inch) - Trash Skull Records $8.00
NOTE: this is a 7" vinyl and DVDR release!!!! - "My first VINYL
RELEASE! Side A: “Tarantula Downpour Glass of Wine for Dinner” is
based on an all too realistic dream about post-modern identity
drowning itself in lack of confidence. It’s also about mind-control
through chemical warfare by both force and volunteer. What if the
apocalypse has already come and gone and this is just us trying to
make sense of the end times? Side B: “Lend Me your Blanket (I Wanna
Dream About You)” is a love song to James’s dead mother. She rests
inside his voice and Argumentix feels her spirit when he sings. Of
course, she would have also thought this music was really strange.
DVDR includes 8 original animated videos by James Squeaky, including
a video for “Tarantula Downpour,” along with songs from various other
releases. They range from crude drawings and feline adventures to
dense rotating patterns of melting color."
Argumentix + Adam Gnade - wilderness and the hold gold (CDR) - Below
PDX $6.00
"Music journalists by day, musical story-tellers by night, writer
Adam Gnade likes to put his words to music and Boss of Goth,
Argumentix likes to put music to words. For a night the two loaded up
on ecstatic narratives and wrangled together this album, a swirling
evil spirits hijacking the amusement park journey. But this isn't
soundtrack music. There are beats, melodramatic interludes and
crushing gasps for air. This is two story-tellers sharing war stories
and raising their fists to the youth. This is something to drink to.
This is something to dance to. This is something to die to. Here's to
hoping you die before we do. Cover art by Adam, beautifully
screenprinted by Ben at Diesel Fuel Prints."
Astral Social Club - Super Grease (LP) - Important Records $13.00
"Super Grease is a limited edition of 500 vinyl only release from
Vibracathedral Orchestra/Sunroof!/A Band member Neil Campbell. This
is a companion release to Astral Social Club's Neon Pibroch cd also
on Important. Click the lp cover to see the deluxe split/splatter
blue vinyl. Astral Social Club is the current project of Neil
Campbell, formerly of Vibracathedral Orchestra, Sunroof!, A Band and
many more. Campbell has been active since the early 80s, and The Wire
magazine has said that, along with his friends Richard Youngs and
Matthew Bower, he "provided the map co-ordinates for much of what
passed for a post-punk UK underground during most of the 80s and
90s". Campbell's approach as Astral Social Club could be seen as both
a continuation and a refutal of his work with Vibracathedral
Orchestra - a continuation in that it continues the quest into the
unknown stellar regions of improvised drone-based music, and a
refutal in its espousal of most of the elemental organic rock m
odes that made that band so special. The focus here is more on alien
electronics and overloaded loop disorientation, sometimes even
working with sounds more readily associated with the far end of dance
music to produce a truly vast 21st century psychedelic sound. Late
last year, VHF Records released a compilation/mix CD drawn from the
earlier string of self-released CDRs which showcased the diverse
methods employed in Astral Social Club recordings. These encompass
straight-ahead drumbox/synthesizer jamming, computer-processing,
swirling loops, primitive vocal holler, noise catharsis, tranquil
guitar shimmer and a busload of other angles. The live experience
throws these methods up the air, cranks up the volume and adds a
visceral, seething human presence before letting it fall all over the
audience. Despite the excessive use of electronics and processing,
the over-riding feeling is one of a raw, ecstatic communion with the
music, a million miles from sterile "electronica". A!
lthough largely a solo project, Astral Social Club collaborators
have included Tirath Singh Nirmala, Richard Youngs and Arttu Partinen."
Astral Social Club - Neon Pibroch (CD) - Important Records $12.00
"Neon Pibroch is a brand new full length cd from the Astral Social
Club. Also available at the same time is a limited edition Astral
Social Club LP on Important titled Super Grease. Neon Pibroch is
dedicated to the memory of Textile Records founder Benoit Sonnette.

Carl Kruger - sound takes (3inch CDR) - TIBProd $6.00
"The short press text for these new Tibprod releases rave about the
'typical Carl Kruger-style', but since I never heard the mans music,
I can't say wether that is false or true. On 'Sound Takes' he
presents a couple of pieces that were previously released on various
websites. Kruger shows an interest in technoid rhythms and the world
of digital cut-ups. Cut and paste instruments, no doubt lifted from
obscure sources on the internet, with some dance rhythm in the
background. I don't think I describe it very well, but the result is
not bad at all. Not startling new either, but nevertheless quite
nice." - Vital Weekly
Culver - the witches ladder (3inch CDR) - small doses $4.00
"The prolific Culver is Lee Stokoe, the bass player of Marzuraan.
There have been several Culver releases on Lee’s own Matching Head
Tapes label and most recently, an incredible full length composition
called The Black Telephone Wire was released on At War With False
Noise. I can’t recommend his work more highly. The Witches Ladder is
a minimal, 17-minute, pulsating, mesmerizing drone composition. The
cd comes packaged in a tri-fold vellum cover with insert card and
vinyl sleeve. Limited, numbered edition of 131."
fervent - conjestion (CDR) - more mars $10.00
"fervent is a solo project by a.m., who lives in larissa (greece).
This is his first release. Guitar, numb keyboards, ackward field
recordings, silly talks and extensive editing comprise this almost 60
minute album of (that should be thought of according to his own words
as) 'meta-emo'."
Filthy Social Club - Astral Turd (CASS) - 777 was 666 $9.00
"Filthy Social Club is a collaboration project of UK drone/noise
veteran Neil Campbell and shamanic hoo-hah man Darren Wyngarde aka
Filthy Turd. Lots of hollering and some stupid rhythms. Psychodelic
reggae vibe." Ltd.100
Flaherty/Corsano/Yeh - Snowblind Avalanche (LP) - Important Records
$12.00
"Snow Blind Avalanche is a completely different album than A Rock In
The Snow also being released on Important though the two records were
made during the same sessions. This vinyl only release is limited to
1000 copies with the first 200 on snow-white vinyl. Artwork by C.
Spencer Yeh. Liner notes from Wolf Eyes bro John Olson aka Johnny
Coors. The Flaherty/Corsano/Yeh power trio have emerged on album with
a dual format/dual release for Important. Snow Blind Avalanche finds
the Flaherty/Corsano/Yeh in more abstract free dimensions with Yeh's
presence in the sound even more firmly established. Recorded as the
snow fell. "No overdubs. Live in studio. Free-noise-punk-jazz with
bent-sick-burning vocals. Amen." Paul Flaherty"
Half Makshift - final (CDR) - small doses $8.00
"This new disc from Half Makeshift/Nathan Michael will serve as a
bridge of sorts between his new release of 20BuckSpin and the new
material he is working on for an upcoming release. Final’s
deconstructed guitar and dark piano melodies provide the soundtrack
to the quiet after the storm. Numbered edition of 151 split between
two versions featuring different paper stocks and front cover images."
hoor-paar-kraat - the huntington chapters (3inch CDR) - small doses
$4.00
"For starters, I will say that everyone involved with this project is
incredibly proud of this one, but no description I am capable of can
really do it justice. HPK is working with sound in new ways, creating
some intense and rich, droning soundscapes. I think it's the best
hoor-paar-kraat work yet, and it leaves me anxious to hear what's
coming next. Check out the sample to get a better sense of what's in
store. The cd comes packaged in a tri-fold, custom-cut cardstock
cover with a vellum insert (featuring an amazing painting by Anthony
Mangicapra) and the works are housed in a vinyl sleeve. Limited,
numbered edition of 153."
Insects with Tits - s/t (3inch CDR) - TIBProd $6.00
"Insects With Tits, a.k.a. Roger Smith and Kenneth Yates, do whatever
they do best: play noise. Four tracks in twenty minutes. Loud,
furious, but it seems to have a bit of progression from the previous
work. A bit more structured and with more dynamics all around. Taking
back the gear and building up again. That makes this actually quite
allright. But perhaps it's also because it's short and to the point."
- Vital Weekly
Iversen / Fischer - aften over landet (CDR) - TIBProd $8.00
James Fella - D888 (CASS) - JK Tapes $5.00
"An undeniable pole of creativity exists in the arid sand-soaked
Tempe; the place totally has created a voice for it's own on the 'diy-
map;' maybe the scorching surroundings force these bro's to remain
inside their own homes, with no other choice than to face their inner
creative impulses, or maybe it's just because this bro moved out
there. James seems to have a totally majestic presence: Soft
Shoulder, Tent City, Gilgongo; all mind-ripping entities; but, it
seems, in his solo recording his explores something a little bit
different: some kind of electronically-charged ambiance, rocking on a
pendulum with the utmost precision, a totally ambitiously intimate
scraped-out tune collage that seems to explore more than Columbus
ever did. In a numbered limited edition of 40, with pen and ink +
water color fusion cover, and an insert inspired by / composed by the
man himself-- an attempt to describe the chaos."
Jazkamer - Balls the Size of Texas, Liver the Size of Brazil (CD) -
Purple Soil $15.00
"The latest release from Norway's hungriest noise composers is
comparatively a more subdued affair, and it is much more subtle than
its boisterous title would have one to believe. John Hegre and Lasse
Marhaug present a noteworthy combination of heavily controlled guitar
feedback and studio treatments characterize the work as a whole, but
each piece is very different from the next. Opener "God Damn This
Ugly Sound" is less an exercise in composition and more in locating,
as it is a six-minute excerpt from a medical record documenting the
sounds of various diseases. The rest isn't as obtuse, as it segues
nicely into the looping guitar feedback and shrill squeal of "Blues
for Sterling Hayden," which could easily be an exercise in sheer
noise blast, but is instead a carefully controlled track that
demonstrates just how subtle the duo can be, even under such
'extreme' conditions. Structurally similar is "A Bucket of Mayo,"
which is built out of feedback fragments and the warm crun
ch of vinyl surface noise. Marhaug can't help but show his noise
chops he has honed in his solo career, and "Not Half Bad to the Bone"
demonstrates his penchant for explosive bassy blasts, yet lurking
under the crunch are some subtle, melodic tones that the average band
wouldn't have bothered with. The ending series of false starts from a
live band is a nice touch as well. "Tentacles of Broken Teeth" is
somewhat reminiscent of Marhaug's recent collaboration with Nils
Henrik Asheim on Touch, all massive, cavernous reverbs and expansive
metallic drones, but here a bit more harsh and distortion oriented.
The centerpieces of the disc are the two massive lengths tracks—the
aforementioned "Blues for Sterling Hayden" and the title track—the
latter being a more controlled affair of synth tones feedback, and
even a bit of dark ambience. The long tracks especially show this
duo's flair for creating beautifully structured chaos. Balls the Size
of Texas, Liver the Size of Brazil cannot !
neatly be labeled as a 'noise' work, but it certainly has the
elements that fans of Marhaug's solo work will enjoy, but enough
compositional and structural elements that anyone who understands the
appeal of esoteric music would love as well." -- Brainwashed.com
Juarez / Barzábal - split series #5 (CDR) - TIBProd $8.00
Kitty Midwife + Lala - four inch giggle (3inch CDR) - Below PDX $6.00
"Mostly micro-cassette recorder (circuit-altered and otherwise)
processed samples journey almost linear down waterslides of churning
meows, alternating creeping and whipping against ribbed oscillations.
When the kittens are at play, the orchestras can often fill with
delay.. You won’t find much delay and reverb here. You will have a
numbing sensation in your cheek from listening to this. Your head
will feel all fuzzy until your brain drains. Kitty Midwife is also in
Animal Writes and she is hard at work on a full-length recording for
Below PDX. . Gross candle wax covered cases. They smell slightly
intense."
Koff Koff - the quality of life (CDR) - TIBProd $8.00
Korperschwache - Ritual of the Ouroboros (CDR) - Crucial Blast $9.00
"One of two new installments in Korperschwache's ongoing tribute to
the great serpent; featuring further exercises in blackened hypno-
drone and necrotic black metal-encrusted trance rock from the
diseased underbelly of Austin, TX, somewhere at the stygian
intersection between Skullflower, Burzum, and Godflesh."
Korperschwache - Sacrifice of the Ouroboros (CDR) - Crucial Blast $9.00
"One of two new installments in Korperschwache's ongoing tribute to
the great serpent; featuring further exercises in blackened hypno-
drone and necrotic black metal-encrusted trance rock from the
diseased underbelly of Austin, TX, somewhere at the stygian
intersection between Skullflower, Burzum, and Godflesh."
Luasa Raelon - into the void (CDR) - Crucial Blast $9.00
"Grim, cthulian ambient soundscapes from Luasa Raelon, formed from
icy synthesizers and trafficking in the same field of black drift as
Lustmord, Yen Pox, and Maeror Tri."
Lydhode - My life in the ghost of bush (CDR) - TIBProd $8.00
"Lydhode means something like 'soundhead' and is an ongoing and open
collaboration. Here it's labelboss Jan M. Iversen with Roar Borge of
Cadmium Dunkel. You could expect a release about emptiness with a
title like that, but it's not. It starts out in a rather free mode
with sounds bouncing and colliding towards eachother, a free fall
from the sky, until the temperate is raised and we land in a world of
colliding loops that oddly enough reminded me of very old Merzbow
cassettes. It had that similar lo-fi reel to reel tapeloop quality.
It made this into quite a nice affair. A free flow of sounds that
could have very well be by Bjerga and Iversen, but it's Lydhode.
Nice." - Vital Weekly
maggoted - 1000 shutdowns (3inch CDR) - Cut Hands $8.00
"At long last, a brand new burner by Pete Swanson (Yellow Swans,
Badgerlore) and Robert Mayson (Grey Daturas) in their down low
Maggoted guise. The moonlit shadow that looms over their more known
outlets. 1000 Shutdowns enfolds the dark side of the duo through
wailing walls of uncomprimising feedback backed up by gorgeous guitar
noise evoking some kind of zombie choir style chanting affair. Beyond
deep. Edition of 80 copies, squashed maggot artwerk by Jason Rohm."
Nataraja - Venetian Blinds (CASS) - JK Tapes $5.00
NOTE: (WARMER MILKS SIDE PROJECT) - "Formless, yet totally purposeful
impressionism from Travis of Warmer Milks; totally blow out guitars
layered over mysterious might, it's almost meteorological. The tape's
totally autumn: breezy synths, rain-drop-drop percussive jewels, air-
shifting riffs; when a recording reveals an certain experiential
wisdom, (here through some sort of kaleidoscopic spasmodic vermism)
it's clear t-t-t-totally precise artistry was necessary--totally
"next level" material. In addition of fifty (and numbered) totallly
full-color "double cover insert" tape."
nicholas szczepanik - astilbe rubra (CDR) - small doses $8.00
"Astilbe rubra is an hour-long, well-woven work that integrates
electronics, traditional instruments used non-traditionally, and
field recordings. Minimal and restrained with moments of intensity
and power. Edition of 104. Packaged in a custom hand cut and folded
sleeve with an insert."
Pengo - counterfeit memories (LP) - Nashazphone $24.00
"rochester's pengo is john schoen, r. nuuja and jason finkbeiner. 2/3
of them have previously played with arthur doyle. hailed as the
world's most psychedelic band, they come back with "counterfeit
memories" which could be their darkest statement so far. a departure
from 1970's ugandan extravaganza into possibly the synapses of its
then leader. limited to 500." note: this recording is from mid-July
2005, so this recording also includes then-member Joe Tunis on drums.
Professional Friend - n Order to be a Successful Artist, You Must

Professional Friend is Nick Bindeman and James Squeaky. recorded in
July 2006
Smegma - 33 1/3 (LP) - Important Records $12.00
"This vinyl edition of 33 1/3 is limited to 1000 copies. Includes a
bonus track only available on the vinyl version. You can chose from
black vinyl, red vinyl, 50/50 black red vinyl & black on red
splatter. Click the image to the right to see the colors. Each color
is limited to 100 copies and if you need to get one of each color you
can buy them in a 4 pack for $40. 33 1/3 is Smegma's tribute to their
20th century avant-garde and out-jazz influences. The title is one
part reference to the happy revival of passionate vinyl listening in
the 21st century and one part celebration of their long hard slog of
33 1/3 years of being one of the most free thinking and original
American underground groups. Their focus, ideas and determination has
brought them through more than three decades and to this day they
remain unparalleled, original and highly influential. 33 1/3 is
enhanced with live videos of Happy Holidays live at End Times
Festival (with Spencer Yeh and Twig Harper) as well
as Grubsteak live at the Three Million Tongues festival in Chicago.
Smegma. Seriously. They've been at it for so long now that you can't
really even say they sound like anyone else. You can only say that
others sound like them. They're all here on 33 1/3: Oblivia, Ju Suk
Reet Meate, Burned Mind, Conroy, Dr. Id. The core group drumming up
their influences and pulling off another burning album of magnificent
proportions. While Smegma has never really fit in anywhere their
influence on the modern avant garde and improvised noise scene is
absolutely undeniable. However, it's essential to remember that
Smegma has never been noise for noise's sake. While they've had two
feet firmly planted in avant-garde & free jazz one must not forget
their rock roots as well. For this reason alone they're bound to not
fit in anywhere. Influences aside, not matter how much everyone else
sounds like Smegma, you can bet that Smegma is always going to sound
like nobody else. Nobody else channels so !
much energy, effort, influence or sound into their work. They may
just be the greatest American band. Ever. "
Soup Purse - s/t (CDR) - Below PDX $6.00
"Creep into the murky methodical mayhem of Soup Purse’s electronic
effacing slips into subliminal sorcery. Todd Dickerson wrestling with
new technology from Peter B’s secret ciat-lombarde laboratory.
Cocolase processing Science-Fiction inspired playful keyboard
emissions. Constantly churning and shifting, perfect for short
attention spans and or for your pet monkey’s walkman on his first
trip to the moon. Todd also plays keyboards/narrates the journeys of
Space Hawk and The Dendrites. He has a shrewd opinion about just
about all topics and sometimes he’s one of the funniest people I
know. Mastered by Pete Swanson (Jyrk/Yellow Swans). Hand acrylic
painted directly on jewel case by Todd."
Souvenir's Young America - an ocean without water (CD) - Crucial
Blast $12.00
"Richmond, VA's cinematic instrumentalists SOUVENIR'S YOUNG AMERICA
present their second full length, "An Ocean Without Water," which
will be released through Crucial Blast on both CD (on July 24th) and
LP (shortly thereafter). The album was recorded with John Morand
(Labradford, Sparklehorse, 4 Walls Falling) at Sound of Music. "An
Ocean Without Water" comes in a 6-panel digipack designed by Sasha
Barr. Lush, shimmering guitar ambience and hypnotic, propulsive
instrumental heaviness wind through the dusty highways and burnt
twilight skies of "An Ocean Without Water," the sophomore album from
Richmond's Souvenir's Young America. Divided into six flowing
movements, "An Ocean Without Water" is filled with intensely
beautiful melodies that drift on lonesome harmonica strains and
sparkling, celestial electronics, shot through with mystic, western
slide guitar, passages of crushing angular riffage, rolling tribal
drumming, and transcendent blues. Through their intricate song arran
gements and moody textures, Souvenir's Young America has created an
epic, emotional narrative. The sound draws from the collected DNA of
forebears like Popul Vuh, Earth, Labradford, and Neurosis, yet they
form a powerfully evocative instrumental language all of their own.
Features collaborations with Aughra (Magic Bullet Records) and Nick
Forte (Sublight Records, ex Rorschach / Beautiful Skin)."

Sun of the Seventh Sister - Farben Raum (CD) - Heard Worse Records
$11.00
"Following on from their 2007 New Zealand tour triple lathe cut LP,
and 6 cassette boxset on Breakdance The Dawn, comes Farben Raum, the
debut CD by Sun of the Seventh Sister. This floating line-up,
mushroom fuelled free-psych woolly mammoth often consists of a
phalanx of between 10 and 25 players: multiple drummers, multiple
electrified chordophones, horns, vocals, oscillators etc. Imagine
half a dozen freak-folk ensembles congealing into a psychedelic din
of Borbetomag-ian proportions. On this occasion SSS comprised members
of xNoBBQx, UnAustralians, Arse Lunch, Cock Up Shitting Whore, Rats
With Wings, Stasis Duo and others. The CD consists of 3 immense
tracks, taken from a 3 hour straight session, lovingly recorded by
the Pulled Out mobile unit, with mastering analysis for Heard Worse
Records by DJ Beefcurtains."
Suprastate - modern classics (CDR) - TIBProd $8.00
"From this new lot on Tib Prod, Suprastate is a new name for me. It's
one Thomas Aslaksen from Norway, who plays computer music. So far he
has made releases on MP3 labels and here for the first time on CDR. I
must say that I thought it was all a bit unsurprising. Loops of
noise, although not loud, go bump around, culling extra sounds from
field recordings, and have some plug in running. It works best when
things aren't really loud and when it seems that there is something
of structure or even a faint trace of melody occurring. But
throughout I thought this was a rather unengaging release." - Vital
Weekly
Sword Heaven - live at little brothers (CDR) - Cut Hands $10.00
"A moment to cherish: first ever Sword Heaven release on European
soil. This Ohio based destructo unit took their Swans inspired,
doomfucked sound to Little Brothers in the fall of 2006 to pulverize
the spines of the unknowing. Several dudes went home with blunt riffs
in their eyes, one lady was reported to have stolen one of the
grooves and stabbed two bums outside of the venue with it. This album
captures the show in full effect, two insane tracks raging with
bloodsoaked intensity. Faceless Nameless has ten (!) people on stage
firing away on their instruments, pure psyched out trash orgasm.
Packed in polyvinyl sleeves with bizarre black and white photo, some
came out musty green though. Completely fuckin’ gross…100 copies..for
now "
Tumul - spray-stencil design (TSHIRT) - Carbon Records $10.00
various color shirts (light heather gray, dark heather gray, orange,
dark red) with mixture of ink colors (white, black, gold, orange)
with variety of sizes (not all colors in all colors, so its a surprise!)
Various Artists - Cottage Industry volume 3 (CDR) - Humbug $8.00
Third instalment of our eclectic compilation series, fully sucked to
capacity at 79:59, though there´s "only" 17 tracks this time. You get
two tracks from norwegian duo RYFYLKE (Humbug releases an LP with
them sometime in 2005!), bristling with heavy frequencies. A sample
of up-close "selbstverprügelung" and subtle barnyard heckling from
unidentified mental patients RAIONBASHI. Crude electronics from WAWA.
A glacial and feverish meditation for metals, springs, radio and wire
hangers by ORANGE, MANIFOLD. SINISTRI are sculptors of molten pulses
and charged convulsions. Look out for their album on the Häpna label
in the spring. There´s two tracks from PHÔ - a short blast taken from
"This is Handiwork" CD + a live track from Rhiz in Wien where the
boys are fronted by one Didi Bruckmayr in best maniacal form. Also
from Italy (along with Sinistri) are OvO, hot on the heels of their
fully cracked jamz of the live tape on Imvated. This tracks´s for
guitar and whistles, Stefania and B
runo captured here in full stereo sound. WOODEN WAND & SATYA SAI BABA
exhales and hits a strident rock chord, trances out, lays it bare.
"Wet Margarete" by EXCEPTER is a keening call to hush things down,
before the gorgeous slow movements of LUNT´s "You Keep Me Unafraid",
a daydreaming haze of crystalline guitar loops. MASKINANLEGG tests
your stereo output, while MOTH´s "Ohne Titel" (the final Moth
recording), draws to a fried conclusion with subliminal hum and
skeletal buzzes. ANDERS HANA´s piece is quiet and poised, barely
pinches the skin. VIOLETS ROCK N ROLL suggests in the crudest of
terms you better get the hell out of here, and finally IDEA FIRE
COMPANY offers a salute to the weary listener with the epic 11-minute
"Heroes". Comes in a heavy cardboard packaging, stupefying
"pensjonist" themed artwork, an insert and a sticker. Limited to
something.
A quote from the Italian Sands-zine, processed via Babelfish
translator to wonderful effect: "If then, as qualitative level
happens in this occasion, to pregevole corresponds also a
quantitative optimum, the floppy disk is full as an egg, and a
confection simil-de luxe, the promotion cannot be that to full
ballots. "Cottage Industrial Vol. 3" contain all mark them coming
from from the odierno underground, without psichedelico distinction
between noise and folk or elettro-electronic and improvisation."

NOTE: this is a double CASS release. "a lot of (both figurative and

VxPxC - Everyone Will Burn (CASS) - JK Tapes $5.00
"Constantly weaving between snarl and structure, it's almost hard to
define the VxPxC in words. Bubbling electronics begin to bubble over,
but soon the electronics stove is turned off; kitchen-pot contact mic-
ery detonates, but the LA bro's soon are able to reassemble the
kitchenette percussion; accordion ambles around, but it eventually
erupts. Sometimes the piece doesn't apex expectantly--a more poetic
improvisational experience: wavering melodica offers a certain,
undeniable pace, superseding vocal hauntings, uncontrolled hiss; you
never quite know what to expect from these three l-a-masterminds, but
it's clear that the layers of perpetually spiraling beats seem are
artistically aware in a fashion that most of us can't seem to
comprehend--this master's totally rad. In an addition of fifty
numbered tapes, double spray-painted-diamond labels, with a full
color x-tra-insert."
Wether - Y (CASS) - JK Tapes $5.00
"Atmospheric abundance must discharge itself from Mike's homestead
with regularity; the sticky dense distortion most likely liquidates
the surrounding landscape, the rodents probably dig it, though.
Hypnotic timber's build upon each other, working together to fill
whatever atmosphere this 'j' is presented in. This atmosphere
progressively begins to blow minds, totally psych, totally in the bad-
trip type of way, though--it's unnerving how much sense this
recording makes. Collaborative art, again, this time, double drawing,
in an edition numbered to fifty."
Yes, Collapse - final diagnosis (CDR) - Crucial Blast $9.00
"the final recording from this Dayton improv-noise crew; brutal
industrial factory scrape, rusted sheet metal floating through dank
halls, and the buzz of destroyed electrified instruments heard
through 10 feet of concrete."
