Crank Igloo s/t
XVP58 (CDR) Recording of trio: Crank Sturgeon + Igloodoom (where Igloodom is a
duo
of Thaw and XV Parowek). Recorded on December 7th, 2008 in Warsaw,
during Crank's visit to Poland, for his performance on "Wez to wylacz"
festival. Selection contains half of raw material, which originally was
over 80 minutes long. Crank's presence in the recording is subtle,
without most elements of his well-known style. It's more of a
collective achievement, kind of improved Igloodoom. Bleak, cold
suspension, exploding with sparks here and there, full of abstract
sound blobs, with sentiment to feedback. The trio easily beats a duo
with fluid narration and ability to fall into spontaneous and subtle
improv moments.
CDR comes in pink paper envelope, with color cover, insert and print on the cdr.
Co-released by Astipalea. Limited to 75.
