I missed the post about logging in thru Yahoo! Canada . . .
LAUNCHcast was a long, wild ride I remember when Yahoo! took over and we had to
live without some of the features for a while then we got everything
back in spades!
My wife and I are squeezing every last penny,so pay radio is not an option right
now anyway.
The rose faded on last.fm for me when my Kevin Kern Radio kept playing two bands
that I HATED.
However,I've been listening to Pandora since the Christmas season when I
made a most pleasant holiday station.
I usually have my David Arkenstone Radio on to provide electronic valium, but
when I need more I chose my QuickMix of two or more of my eight stations:
David Arkenstone Radio
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Radio
Madonna Radio
Willie Nelson Radio
Perry Como/Barbra Streisand/Wille Nelson (Holiday) Radio
George Benson Radio
Jazz Fusion
Yanni Radio

The audio ads on Pandora are mercifully brief and infrequent. I think I've
memorized the ad for Mozy. The visual ads mostly disappear by compacting the
window. There's like one pop-up ad that has a movie I'd watch if I were less
busy.
Miss LAUNCHcast's subscribers and influencers to my Ratings Master
station,byanymeasure(originally moodswings).
Got me thru lots of nights when I couldn't sleep!
To have Jimi Hendrix,Doris Day,Enya, and Tim McGraw in the same set was a Divine
Madness.:D

Thanks for your kind words. I had been wanting to share with the group that I
had discovered, after reading a group posting, that logging in through
ca.music.yahoo.com would allow my old familiar station to play, even after
Yahoo! US discontinued it - but I was worried that it would cause them to pull
the plug.
At least I got a few more months with LAUNCHcast before I had to let it go.
LAUNCHcast really was the best, and I loved it dearly.
